3D-engineering in plant construction

AVEVA VANTAGE PDMS, AUTODESK ACAD PLANS 3D

Besides the conventional 2D-CAD-Systems since 2003 we utilize tools such as AVEVA VANTAGE PDMS and latterly (since 2003) AUTODESK ACAD PLAN 3D, which are highly efficient in the 3D-Visualization required for engineering.

The comprehensive functionality of the software makes it versatile in its use and simply to manage. Thus, complex plants can be viewed three-dimensionally and 2D-Plans can be automatically generated.

The database structure makes it possible for several planners to work on the same 3D-Model simultaneously, which leads to an increase in planning efficiency. Due to the data integrity of the systems, changes or adjustments in planning are continuously updated within the 3D-Model.

Among other features the 3D-Planning underlying database contains geometrical information about all construction elements, so that the clash analysis of the structures can be accomplished automatically. In particularly trade-overlapping clashes can be avoided during the planning phases thus saving additional costs that could arise later.

The automated link to the different planning tools increases the accuracy of the manufacturing, assembly and stock management documents, which can be generated by the system. Considering our client´s requirements we develop taylor made output documents according to specific contents and format-based needs. In principle the generating of 2D-documents can take place in all common design formats.

For later changes the 3D-programme offers a good planning basis for operators and maintenance crews.

To improve compatibility with other software products, the programme is also able to generate customized data formats. For this reason the master software is not necessarily required for data processing.
